"Final Splash"
Principal Criscuolo in a symbolic gesture closes out his wonderful tenure as Tinicum's principal with a "Splash" at Tinicum Township Pool as part of the Field Day activities on Friday, May 31. The entire Tinicum community wishes Mr. Criscuolo much success and happiness in his new position! Well done Mr. C!
Pen Pals-6th Grade
For the second year in a row, Miss DiMarco's language arts class had the opportunity to meet their pen pals via video chat. The 6th graders have been corresponding with students from Mechanicsburg Middle School since September, and were happy to put a face with each pen pal's name! Students introduced themselves to one another and then discussed the differences between Mechanicsburg and Tinicum. A good time was had by all.
D.A.R.E. Night
Tinicum School's Grade 5 DARE Program enjoyed yummy treats at Richman's Ice Cream Stand in Prospect Park on Wednesday, May 8th. Families and friends came out (in spite of a rainshower now and then) to show their support for the important work Tinicum Township's Officer Jim does with the 5th grade students. In addition to delicious ice cream, we want to thank Officer Jim for a dedicated 20 years in the DARE Program. A BIG Thank You to Steve at Richman's and Mrs. DiFillipo at Tinicum Home and School for the arrangements.
Spring Dodgeball
The Spring Dodgeball Tournament was recently held to benefit the Tinicum 8th Grade Graduation Committee. Eleven teams of students and faculty members competed and Team 4 eventually came out on top. Fun was had by all while raising money for a worthy cause!
